two years ago, i came into this city of and started my college life , the most memorable journey of my life. i was just a shy and little girl that time. all the things seemed fresh to me: new faces, large library and physics lab etc. i breathed the air of college greedily, i was curious about everything.the class given by the teachers are excellent.they provide us with information not only from our textbook but from other sources as well.i actively involved in student union and varies of association. but soon i realized that i do not make full use of my spare time ,so i got a part-time job to help a junior student with math lessons besides,i also took part in activities concerning public welfare. we taught the kids there who could not afford school, i was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, the precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us--future teachers. the enrichment of experience taught me the significance of modesty,responsibility,tolerance,and perseverance.

and now i have been here two years. recalling to the two years, i think i have to talk about one thing--learning. learn how to study independently, learn how to get along with others, learn to love, learn to… oh, there are too much things we have to learn.

comparing with senior high school, college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more, neither are there so many students who share with you one dream. in college, you must think and study yourself, so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.

after the arduous military training, i get absolutely absorbed in my studies. the classes given by the teachers are excellent. they provide us with information not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well. they easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as i can.

frankly speaking, at first i had some difficulty following the teachers. however, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, i made remarkable progress. now i've benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports.

learning is a long process; i'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself. this summer i got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. a publishing house offered me a part-time job in compilation and revision.

at the beginning i was belittled by my colleagues. but they were really surprised when i translated seven english articles over 5,000 words on only one day. gradually, they began to look at me with respectful eyes. in their opinion i turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague.

i also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be truly happy. so i often take part in activities concerning public welfare. i once went to a barren mountain village with my classmates. we taught the kids there who could not afford school. while showing them how broad and how civilized the outer world is, i was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, their honesty and their purity. i couldn't control my tears on the day when we left. the precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us, future teachers.

besides study and social practice, there are entertainments as well. i do body building every day, hoping to keep healthy and energetic. we also write a play and put it on in our spare time.

campus life is the most splendid time. but different people have different choices. the majority of students cherish their beautiful season and cherish the hope that one day they'll become outstanding. but there are indeed some students still under ignorance. they gather together for eating, drinking or playing cards. they're busy in searching for a girlfriend or a boyfriend. they forget completely about their mission as college students and the hope of their motherland.

finally, i do hope everybody can try their best to become a worthy citizen of the country. i do hope everybody can become the backbone of our nation and make great contributions to society!

学习是个循序渐进、长期的过程,我会在知识的宝库中不断探索,丰富自我。今年暑假,我跨出象牙塔,进入并接触到了真正的社会。一个出版社给了我编辑和校对的兼职工作。

工作初期,同事们都礁不起我。但是,当我在一天之内翻译完7篇的英语文章后,他们真的是大吃一惊。渐渐地,他们开始用尊敬的眼光看待我。他们认为,我变成了一个有用并值得信赖的好同事。

我也同样意识到,只有那些为别人带来幸福的人才能真正的幸福。因而,我经常参加有关公众福利享业的活动。

曾对青年人说过:“世界是你们的,也是我们的,但归根结底是你们的,你们青年人朝气蓬勃,正在兴旺时期,好像早晨八九点的太阳,希望寄托在你们身上,世界属于你们,中国的前途属于你们。” 为即将到来的十献上一份大礼,所以今天我要演讲的题目是《中国要腾飞,教育是龙头》。

有人将中国比作一列火车,它在时代的轨道上快速运行,我们每一位中华儿女都见证了这列火车在发展国;轨道上的轨迹。随着时代步伐的前进,列车的每一次提速,都代表着我国综合国力的大大提高,我们每一个青年人都是这列火车的驾驶员。

改革开放后,政府关注祖国的发展,但更我们的受教育的程度,因为发展离不开知识的导航,没有导航者,时代步伐就不会向前迈进。

我们身系祖国未来的重任,为此,国家政府近年来,对农村孩子受教育情况极为重视。2012年,对于农村家庭及贫困生来说都是不平凡的一年,。政府实施了农村中小学免除学杂费这一优惠政策。“免除学杂费”,多么简短的一句话啊!却不知挽回了多少 像我一样濒于辍学边缘的贫困生啊!让教育深入每一个学生的心底,让爱撑起瘦弱的肩膀,让幸福的阳光着每一个人!我敢断言,从这一批批享受国家优惠政策的贫困生中定会诞生一个又一个优秀的栋梁之材!

我也是一个贫困家庭的孩子,每到新学期开学,父母便会无比地压抑。因为面临的是学杂费、书本费等众多的费用,虽然钱数不多,但对一个农村低收入家庭来说,那却是一个多么学生沉重的负担啊!每每想到这,我的心情就无比的沉重!但这一切都已成为过去,现如今,我不会再看到父亲那紧锁的眉头,不必再担心父亲的肩膀有一天会被压垮,我可以安心地在学校努力拼搏,可以全身心地投入到学习中去,作为受益者的我,将以此为动力,用优异的成绩来回报祖国,用行动来表达我内深处最真挚的谢意!

时代在发展,社会在进步,十六大以后,我国综合国力大大提高了,农民生活正在向着小康迈进,一派崭新的面貌呈现在祖国这片脊背上。放眼望去,一幢幢新楼房如雨后春笋般拔地而起;一条条宽阔的公路四通八达;一座座美丽的村庄更加繁荣富强,我为生活在这样的国家而感到无比的幸福骄傲!

同学们,我们了解了今天,但更美好的明天等待着我们去创造。十即将召开,今后的五十年,是中国社会主义大发展时期,。中华民族的伟大复兴,将在我们的手中实现,我们将投身见证中华民族五千年文明史上最为辉煌的时代,而我们则是这辉煌史上最为璀璨耀眼的群星!

i also believe that success is not discriminatory. success does not attach to a mere particular class of individuals. i believe that each and every individual, regardless of race, gender, class or even economic background, has an equal right to success, because each person has the right to develop his own ideals and to pursue those ideals.

a good example of this is the composer beethoven, a man who all of us know has created great symphonies. this man was deaf. this man was unable to hear his own majestic pieces of work. and yet, he held to his ideal of creation of music to the very end. then what exactly does the definition of success mean to me? to answer this question, to exemplify it, i pose a question to this house. i pose a question what brings us here together today, ladies and gentlemen, students and educators as you like. and the answer that i have found is the love for the spoken word.

love for the spoken word means how it is to express, how it is to listen, how it is to understand. because what happens when you have a pause, what happens when you have a rhetoric speech all differs on the impact and communication that you have on your audience. but the meaning of the spoken word applies ever more strongly to those who are unable to speak, or are unwilling to speak. because all the beautiful thoughts and emotions encapsulated in that person will inevitably be lost, if that person is not able to speak.

i once went to australia in 1998,and i saw two pictures drawn by three-year-old children. one was drawn by a normal child, one was drawn by what is known as an autistic child, a child which is exclusive, which is unable to express himself verbally to other people. and you could see the difference between the pictures. one was a picture of a horse very simple and straightforward. one was a picture of a horse a gain, but you could see the life, you could see the spirit, and you could see the detail behind that picture.

so the point i want to make here is that these people do have emotion they understand a lot, but it is very very fatal that they are not able to express themselves. and my definition of success is to share with them the beauty of the spoken word. my definition of success is to teach and be able to change these people's lives, because i have had the opportunity of encountering these people in my times either at school or during my summer jobs. i have had the time and opportunity to change these people. i have had the time to see exactly what exactly they go d1rough and to understand that point.

itake with me the memory of friday afternoon acm happy hours, known not for kegs of beer, but rather bowls of rainbow sherbet punch. over the several years that i attended these happy hours they enjoyed varying degrees of popularity, often proportional to the quality and quantity of the accompanying refreshments - but there was always the rainbow sherbert punch.

i take with me memories of purple parking permits, the west campus shuttle, checking my pendaflex, over-due library books, trying to print from cec, lunches on delmar, friends who slept in their offices, miniature golf in lopata hall, the greenway talk, division iii basketball, and trying to convince dean russel that yet another engineering school rule should be changed.

finally, i would like to conclude, not with a memory, but with some advice. what would a graduation speech be without a little advice, right? anyway, this advice comes in the form of a verse delivered to the 1977 graduating class of lake forest college by theodore seuss geisel, better known to the world as dr. seuss - here's how it goes:

my uncle ordered popovers from the restaurant's bill of fare. and when they were served, he regarded them with a penetrating stare . . . then he spoke great words of wisdom as he sat there on that chair: "to eat these things," said my uncle, "you must excercise great care. you may swallow down what's solid . . . but . . . you must spit out the air!"

and . . . as you partake of the world's bill of fare, that's darned good advice to follow. do a lot of spitting out the hot air. and be careful what you swallow.

一、中国经济与世界的关系

我今天第一个要谈的是关于中国经济。中国经济在过去三十年快速增长,但这个增长不仅仅利好中国自身。一方面,来自中国的投资带动全球经济发展,XX年,中国对外投资规模达到1400亿美元。另一方面,中国也成为全球企业成长的沃土。世界500强企业都在中国落户,仅成都这个外国人并不熟悉的二线城市,就有262家世界500强企业落户。类似的数字我们还可以列举出很多,但中国经济增长数字的背后,到底隐藏着怎样的全球分配和效益分享?

首先,中国的经济发展,对全球经济发展作用显着。近几年,中国对全球的经济增长贡献率都高达50%以上。

其次,中国制造对全球人类基本生活品质(无论发达地区还是发展中地区)都是有贡献的。正是中国制造的低廉价格,使得全球接近57%的中低收入人口,以最低的价格消费着维持日常生活,这些简单数字呈现的是全球40亿人生活的基本保障。

另一方面,同样一组数据,也可以解读为:中国制造仍然停留在全球生产分工链条的低端。一部售价超过650美元的iphone6,留给中国的价值,只有组装环节的劳务费,约11美元。

中国过去三十年快速发展的模式,未来还会复制下去吗?

中国粗放的经济发展模式,土地、资金和劳动力的资源整合,是过去中国经济发展的主要模式。据测算,过去三十年,中国的资本回报率保持在25~30%。但经过三十年的发展,中国的经济增长逻辑已经悄然改变。资本、劳动力等要素投入边际效应递减,近年来,新的经济动力来自于学习和创新。

中国一个典型的创新是行业创新,中国的高铁技术、基因测序技术、新能源技术都已经达到世界领先水平。除了行业创新,另一个典型的创新是区域创新。

中国各区域发展不平衡,我们看到西部地区依然在走资源整合的路子,发达城市在二十年前已经开始了高新科技的产业政策支持创新,现在已经是不同行业创新的聚集地,我们也看到一些二线城市,既有资源整合的影子,也有创新产业的影子。

中国企业和城市都面临一个转型的问题、创新的问题。这对中国这个经济体有影响,对全球经济也有影响。

二、移动互联时代的中国

我第二个要谈的是中国的互联网。中国互联网行业的发展正是中国宏观经济的映射,互联网行业正在经历从粗放发展到创新发展的转型。

XX年开始,全球步入移动互联时代,中国经济发展与之同步。在移动互联时代,新的生存法则就是创新。移动互联时代的创新带来的是中国经济跨越式发展的最大机会。中国移动互联增长最为快速、最生机勃勃的领域,恰恰是中国基础行业发展最弱的领域。中国人习惯把这一现象称为“弯道超车”。例如,在中国的金融行业,信用制度的不完善严重拖累信用卡的发行,信用卡的普及率极低反而成为移动互联快速成长的沃土。

XX年,中国共有45.24亿笔交易脱离pos机的限制,通过手机端简单的一个密码输入完成,交易额高达22.59万亿元。就在两周之前的中国新年除夕当天,微信红包带来的移动端小额交易总量达10.1亿次。短短两年间,中国在手机端重构了一个更快速、更便捷、普及率更广的金融体系。

这个例子说明,中国原先信用卡的不足、支票的缺失,让中国跨越成长,中国不需要支票,直接进入更便捷的手机支付时代,相比之下,美国因为其完善的金融系统,还停留在pos机端刷卡阶段。

移动支付方面,中国目前有所超越,美国是否会在下一轮有一个大的反超?这种互相超越的过程或许会成为大家互惠成长的方式。

再谈中国电子商务。中国的人均商业面积小,物流费用高。在过去,货物从广州运至北京甚至比运到美国西海岸还贵。蓬勃的商业需求与落后的商业基础设施之间的巨大落差,催生了中国电子商务的崛起。如今,阿里巴巴已经成为世界一流的电子商务公司,服务着3.34亿人;排名第二的京东,覆盖了中国85%的行政区划。以211的配送法则(上午11点前下单,当天到货;晚上11点前下单,第二天15点前到货)让普通中国百姓享受着全球性价比最高的配送服务。

从腾讯的视角来看,移动互联是中国包容性增长的动力,是6.3亿中国农村居民得到可能发展机会的杠杆,也是中国缩减数字鸿沟,为世界的均衡发展做出贡献的机会。

移动互联时代,中国新一批崛起的手机制造商让全球的移动互联接入成本降到100美金之下,而4g技术的发展,也使得服务于广大农村地区,边际利润很低的用户成为可能。

腾讯公益基金会已经开始在中国的农村开展“新乡村行动”。以贵州黎平的移动互联扶持农村发展项目为例,农村人民通过手机得到教育、医疗、交通、公共服务的信息,效果不错。移动互联对欠发达地区人民的专项服务将会成为新的需求和趋势。腾讯公益通过移动终端推动人人可公益的理念,目前总计2800万人次参与,总捐款额达3亿元,这可能是全球参与人数最多的公益平台之一。移动互联,可以更深更广地服务于最多可能的受众。

生于草莽让我们更加富有创造力。腾讯等中国互联网公司,正是生于草莽,顺势而为,把握住互联网时代到移动互联的变迁,发掘出中国用户最为迫切的需求,从互联网时代的生存阶段跳跃到移动互联的发展阶段。

生于草莽让我们专注于高效执行,这是中国能够弯道超车的秘诀之一。中国的创新效率单项排名在XX年达到全球第一。需要指出的是,创新效率并不是指中国最具创新性,而是说中国将创新落地的能力非同一般。

生于草莽让我们集中优势力量,以点带面突破,形成产业链。这大概是中国弯道超车的另一个秘诀。在中国,既有深圳南山、北京中关村、上海张江这样的世界级创新基地,也有天津滨海、成都高新、武汉光谷这样蓬勃发展的第二梯队。

生于草莽让我们更接地气,从人性洞察出发,让产品嵌入我们对人的根本需求的理解,这样的产品及创新将更具有生命力。微信就是满足和把握移动互联网人与人交往需求与人性特点的一个典型创新案例。

微信从初期的摇一摇、语音消息、附近的人等基础功能发掘,到“朋友圈”功能,创建了公众平台生态、实现移动端支付,未来微信还将连接各种智能硬件和服务。

三、中美携手美好的未来

我第三个要谈的是中美之间。

XX年开始的全球互联网由pc端向移动端转移的大弯道上,中美两国共同成为全球移动互联行业的引领者。目前在全球市值前10位的互联网公司中,阿里巴巴、腾讯、百度和京东等四家来自中国,其他六家来自美国,他们为世界共同创造了超过2万亿美元的市值,影响着全球人民的生活和工作。从这个意义上讲,中国的发展,美国的发展,未来世界的发展,必然是要联系在一起的。

中国人很看重一个概念,叫做“势”。它由另外两个中国字“执”和“力”构成,意义接近于力量、趋势、影响力等。但我认为,这个势更接近于“动力、动能”。以中国为例,中国的奇迹之旅起始于1980年的一个靠近香港渔村。这个渔村叫“深圳”。30年过去,这个偏僻陌生的渔村已经成长为人口过千万的大都会,也是腾讯的诞生地。驱动这一巨变的就是中国改革开放的“势”。三十年后,中国与世界更为深入和广泛的连接、学习、创新、合作,新的一个“势”正在中国升起。

中国转型是否成功?波动、阵痛、起伏必然是有的,我们看到了“势”,就看到了未来乐观的前景。无所不在的移动互联网是未来的势之一。mobile·internet不仅是技术上说互联网与移动通信的结合,而且在可穿戴设备逐渐涌现、智能家电开始走入千家万户、车联网已经部分实现的时代,mobile·internet已经在反映科技进步的方向和状态。

未来的发展,需要看到未来的“势”在哪里。作为互联网行业的从业者,互联网的未来,我个人较为关注的是,移动互联即将要改变的地方。世界上依然有43亿人还无法联网,其中90%的人生活在发展中国家。在这些地区,仅仅依靠互联网获取信息都遥不可及。未来,改变他们的生存和生活状态,是任何人都无法回避的巨大挑战。这一“势”具备之后,就势而为的应当是未来成长起来的人。那就是在座各位同学的这一代年轻人,我们称之为“90后”的人们。

这次在斯坦福大学半年,我接触的美国90后的大学生们,都有自己的梦想,都有清晰的目标,很清楚自己现在在干什么,计划要干什么。我也看到了你们关注他人、与人合作的美德。在中国,90后是最为自由的一代,中国第一次出现了“可以干自己想干的事情”的一代人。未来的社会改变,我们期望中美90后的合作。

美国的90后依托美国在发达国家的经验和领先的技术,中国的90后生于发展中国家,理解不发达地区人们的需求。未来亟需联网的43亿人,90%在发展中国家,他们生活的改变,需要发达国家和发展中国家共同携手。未来的社会进步,我们期望中美90后的携手。创新能力很强的美国90后,创新落地能力很强的中国90后,中美90后的携手正是合适的人选。

当中美的90后联手之后,可以用最有想象力的产品和服务,最符合社会效益的商业模式,和最接地气的执行力,用移动互联的技术改变提升全球人民生活的福祉。不似我蹩脚的英语,我期许,年轻的中国90后能与美国年轻人找到共同语言,说不定是一种超越自然语言的语言。

英语的国际地位决定了英语演讲具有重要意义,为了提高中国大学生的英语演讲水平,从2002年开始,中央电视台和外语教学与研究出版社每年联合举办一次“CCTV杯”全国大学生英语演讲比赛,外语教学与研究出版社还联合教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会和教育部高等学校英语专业指导分委员会主办每年一次的“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛”,这些展示中国大学生外语能力、沟通能力与思辨能力的全国性赛事,促使“英语演讲”这门课程自2005年起从美国引入中国高校之后在中国高校受到广泛关注。开设英语演讲课最初是为了满足这些全国性英语演讲赛事的需求,现在因其在当今全球化世界中的交流地位而成了“受欢迎的”课程。演讲学领域的国际专业学者Stephen Lucas认为英语演讲的培养不仅能够在口语交际方面,而且能够在写作、听力、批判性思维、跨文化交际能力和整体英语水平等方面提高演讲人的“核心技能和能力(core skills and competencies)”。然而,国内有关英语演讲的教材大部分取材于国外,与西方早已存在了两千五百年历史的演讲教育传统相比,我们既稚嫩又不接地气,容易混淆英语演讲课与英语口语课之间的界限,横亘在汉语与英语之间的语言和思维障碍使得大学生们的整体英语水平的“核心技能和能力”难以得到有效提高。从这些年来的英语演讲课程、培训、比赛情况看,大学生作为个体在英语演讲中所面临的困境主要体现在以下几个方面:说服力弱、组织混乱、言之无物、语言错误、自信不够等,尤其在即兴演讲的环节,学生容易出现对英语演讲主题挖掘深度不颉⒃谧橹演讲材料时不能信手拈来、思辨能力弱等问题,这些状况可以由以下多维的培养方法和激励措施进行改善。

一、自信愉快策略

自信对于成功的英语演讲有着很大的激励作用,演讲是否成功,很大程度上取决于演讲者的自我感觉和心理素质的高低。大学生对英语演讲的自信心不足体现在多方面,如:在英语演讲课堂或其他教学活动中害怕引人注目,不敢提问、不敢发言,有时表现出较强的虚荣心,对别人的评价很敏感,回避和掩饰自己的不足等,表现在演讲竞赛中是容易在竞争中退缩,甚至有优势却不敢参与比赛。因此,老师要帮助学生消除自信心不足的问题,维护和培养学生的自信心。首先,要让学生正视自信心不足的问题,修正消极的自我评价。自信心不足的问题普遍存在于正常人中,绝大多数人在公众演讲中都会有紧张、忧虑或害怕的体验,自己不是少数缺乏自信心的人,要坦然面对自己的不足,化消极为积极。其次,要学会自我接受,改变对自己不合理的期望,认识自己的价值,看到自己的长处,以自己的独特性为骄傲,努力提高自己的英语水平,为这份生命增添更多的精彩。还要学会运用幽默乐观的态度面对挫折,减轻焦虑和紧张情绪,维护个人自尊,保持心理平衡,把英语演讲中所受的挫折更多地归于客观因素,而把英语演讲的进步和成功归于自己的努力。老师除了要及时恰当地给予赞扬之外,还要多创造机会让同学们互相之间鼓励与肯定。通过这种方式,学生会逐渐变得自信,以往被看得困难重重的英语演讲也会慢慢演变为一个愉快的学习过程。

二、认知特点探寻

从对学生的问卷调查结果来看,每个学生有自己喜欢的信息输入方式,约31%的学生喜欢通过看视频,10%通过看图片,23%通过阅读,18%通过讨论,18%通过听讲座。要想调动学生的学习积极性,就要在英语演讲教学中融入各种信息输入方式,并且要针对每个学生问卷的反馈情况进行小组分类,组成课后演讲学习小组,发挥各自的认知优势,弥补自己的不足。同时英语演讲如果只有一种教学方法,就势必会让学生失去信心和兴趣,特别是当课时有限的英语演讲课成为一门选修课,而非只是针对英语专业的学生进行开设的时候。可以针对不同性格特点和英语水平的学生采取不同的教学措施,如:比较内向不爱讲话的学生,可以从有准备的背诵开始,给予学生充分的时间进行写稿背诵,背诵时间从1分钟慢慢过渡到4分钟,其间每次背诵之后都有同学进行点评与建议,教师要予以肯定和鼓励。对于性格外向敢于发言的学生,除了要积极给他们创造演讲机会之外,还要引导他们注意发言内容的逻辑性与合理性,引导他们提高演讲的水平。对于英语基础好而又有着强烈的演讲欲望的学生,则要进行高水平英语学习要求,指导他们大量阅读各种英文书籍、文章,写出高水平的演讲稿,作较长的评论,从而过渡到训练有素、逻辑严密的即兴演讲环节,并且通过领头示范的作用使得他们的英语演讲水平得到提高。其目的是让所有英语水平有差异的学生都能在英语演讲的学习中既获得信心又获得乐趣,关键是每个人都能在此过程中获得不同的进步。举行和参与英语演讲比赛更是一种促进英语教与学的手段,对学生学习英语的动机有较大影响,并能转变大部分学生的学习动机,从而提高学生的学习成效。

三、深而广的阅读

做好英语演讲不是一件容易的事,而即兴演讲的压力大于定题演讲,尤其是“即兴演讲+现场提问”的方式,这更是让学生感到最难、最大的挑战。有的学生不是因为自己的语音语调不好,演讲姿态形象不好,而是由于没有经过相关知识的积累和有效训练,拿到演讲题目却感到无话可说。怎样才能改变学生的英语演讲失语症?没有现成的完整培训资料可利用,尤其是缺乏即兴演讲培训的共享资源,一切都要靠教师自己摸索。有条件的高校把训练个别学生英语演讲的工作交给高水平的外教来完成,但这样英语演讲就变成了一个小众的受益行为,偏离了高校英语教育的初衷。毋庸置疑,要想做好英语演讲,学生就要进行有一定深度和广度的阅读,进行东西方文化知识储备,提高跨文化交际能力。可以读经典英文小说,每天上网浏览国外知名新闻媒体的网站,在周总结的时候进行话题讨论。还可以引导学生阅读和背诵名篇,只有把这些优美地道的名篇、名段牢记在心,才能进行输出,做到得心应手,信手拈来。当然,广泛的阅读要符合学生的英语水平和年龄特点,有效的语言输入应该是学生能理解的、有意义、有趣的,并且要有足够的量,这样才能够为语言的输出创造条件。在阅读学习中更要注重“思辨”能力的培养,强化批判性思维。“思辨”被认为是公民素质的重要内核,也是现代教育最重要的培养目标之一。表达能力的训练、知识储备的扩充和理论指导下的实践是英语演讲所体现的提高学生思辨能力三方面的有效结合。田朝霞归纳了自2010年以来连续担任全国大学生英语演讲大赛总决赛的评委Peter Pober教授对于中国学生在演讲中所体现的问题为“思辨欠缺、知识缺乏、视野狭窄,以及公众交流意识淡薄”,其中“思辨欠缺”处于第一位,这份欠缺说明了英语演讲“思辨”能力培养的重要性。

四、先练写再练说

英语演讲学习过程中,学生要想做好演讲,就要先从练习写演讲稿开始,做到有章法地进行演讲。学生可以先研读历年来的优秀演讲稿,对演讲主题进行归类,借鉴优秀大学生演讲的解题思路。例如:北京市大学生英语演讲比赛曾出过的题目有:“Financial Crisis and Global Opportunity”(2009),“Beijing Students and Entrepreneurship in the Globalized Age”(2010),“Nuclear Power:Blessing or Disaster to Humankind?”(2011),“Cultural Diversity and Globalization”(2012),“My Chinese Dream”(2013)等,涉及学生所能接触到的经济、社会、文化等常见话题,而非冷僻的主题。通过分析借鉴,学生既可以在短时期内对各种相关演讲主题有充分的心理准备,又可以从不同的角度分析同一个主题内容,开拓思路。这些演讲稿虽然经过指导教师的多次修改,但主要还是学生自己的思路,而非背诵老师的作品,因此可以选择作为学生英语演讲的自学材料。在研究完别人的演讲稿之后,学生要着手写自己的演讲稿,经过与老师的探讨修改之后要脱稿背诵,做到既流利通畅又背得自然,老师要在学生背稿完成后进行提问训练,让学生有一个从背诵到真实语境的过渡,锻炼应变能力。背诵在英语语言习得过程中具有不可低估的地位,是学习、积累语言的有效途径。反复经过几十次训练之后,学生会发现自己写稿子的语篇组织能力越来越强,这时候就可以逐渐开始训练学生的即兴演讲了。有了之前的英语知识输入和演讲稿书写的训练,学生的即兴演讲就会形成基本的语篇结构感,这时只需要大致列一个演讲提纲就可以开始进行即兴演讲。

五、反馈讨论机制

学生的演讲学习过程艰辛而寂寞,往往是在不为人知的情况下默默苦练的,拖延或者不能按时完成自习内容的情况时有发生,可以做一些改进,如加入撰写心得体会和定时举办小组讨论反馈。学生读英文名著、听故事、看影片等,在听、看的基础上,进行思考和心得体会撰写,进行每周一次的反馈与讨论,在与同学讨论中和教师的指导下逐步形成深刻、独到的见解。这在其他英语课堂上也可以起到积极的作用,如:在综合英语课堂教学中介入英语演讲,同时进行简短的读书反馈与讨论,既能克服传统教学侧重语言输入的弊端,又能活跃课堂气氛,提高学生的表达能力,提高学生学习的主动性和积极性,有效培养学生的英语语言综合应用能力。再如:这种反馈与讨论的英语演讲也可成为大学英语课堂教学的一个环节,改变传统课堂以“教”为主的模式,加强师生之间、学生之间在课堂上的互动,激发学生的英语学习兴趣,使其愿意积极参与课堂活动,以更好地实现教学目标。此外,还可以积极运用网络音视频及时反馈学生英语演讲时出现的问题,比如:把学生在公众场合做的演讲录下来,事后让他们在群里观看彼此的录像,提出有效建议,使学生形成自然得体的体态语。此外,还可以通过听演讲录音改善自己的英语节奏感,根据演讲的内容、表达感情和现场情绪的需要,该快则快,该慢则慢。

六、中外师资配合

英语是用来进行交流的,如果学生缺乏来自英美国家外教的交流与指点,就势必会削弱演讲的自信心,因此要给学生创造获得与外教交流指点的机会。中国教师可以与外籍教师进行穿插提问,针对学生演讲的问题要态度亲切、清楚具w,避免模棱两可、难度过大,如果学生回答过于简短,教师就应该鼓励其进行解释、扩展和说明,教会学生回答问题要语言简洁、内容具体、有说服力和新颖,可以适当地运用引语,或是结合自身的经历展开回答,还可以在需要的时候使用幽默,反问等形式,给人耳目一新的感觉。语言形式是交际手段,交流信息和思想才是目的。值得注意的是,在英语演讲比赛中,文秋方观察到“外方评委通常以听懂意义为前提来判断选手的演讲能力”,而“而中方评委时而将形式与意义分开,对选手所犯的个别低级语法错误给以过多的关注,有以点代面的倾向”。在授课过程中,中国教师要回避过多地强调批评单词的正确发音、连读,个别的语法错误等问题,忽略了思想内容交流的重要性。要研究学生英语演讲稿的篇章结构特点,有条件的学校可以邀请外教共同指导学生的演讲稿。王立非认为中国学生英语演讲语块典型错误包括母语迁移错误、习得错误、冗余错误、混用错误等,因此英语演讲教学可围绕会话保持语块、会话目的语块、话题相关语块、话语设置语块和交际策略语块展开。观察到中国学生过多使用从句和情态动词,而立场动词和介词短语to使用较少,王立非建议在编撰演讲教材和演讲教学时,应设法通过加强话语立场构块的练习,发展口语的流利度和准确性。在演讲课中,教师应着重讲解立场构块在表达观点和说服听众方面的作用,提供丰富、多样、地道的话语立场词汇与句法构块输入,通过大量模仿和接触,提高学生的英语演讲能力。

七、“互联网+”激励

当今互联网时代,互联网的使用已经深入到人们社会生活的方方面面,知识与学习已发生质的变化,“互联网+教育”对教育资源、教学模式和学习模式等带来了深刻影响,“互联网+”的新趋势可以与英语演讲学习有机融合,使英语演讲教学走向学生的电脑终端或者智能手机,有效融合成为课堂教学的极大有益补充。英语演讲教学成功最关键的因素还在于学生,学生不但要有优秀的语言功底和思辨能力,还要具有坚强的信念和能吃苦的精神,大量阅读、写作、练习,这样才能在老师的督促之下完成学习计划,不断进取,从而达到较高的整体英语水平。英语演讲的习得是艰辛的,尤其对于为数不多的几个接受训练的竞赛选手而言,很多时候需要自己孤军奋战,有时候学习还会因止步不前而显得枯燥,这就需要教师把英语演讲教学变为能贴近学生生活的活动,从竞赛走向普及平台。例如:各校可以利用网络的力量,结合本校大学生信息常用的渠道――微博、微信等,建立英语演讲教与学的渠道。这些平台可以由以下板块构成:英语名人名言、英美文化、英语新闻、名家讲坛、英语演讲技巧、英语演讲稿范文、英语即兴演讲库、英语演讲网络比赛和与英美大学生的校际演讲交流等。英语演讲学习内容或者介绍英语演讲近况,把英语演讲学习变成一个公开的舞台,学生将获得更多的督促力和动力,掌握娴熟的英语演讲技巧,提高整体英语水平,关注的学生也能从中受益,对于参与的学生来说,将通过演讲的尝试和成功获得今后求职、深造的自信心。
