2)如果要表示“请你不要做…好吗?”只需在doing 前面加not.应答用语:

1)如果同意表示不介意时,可用如下用语来表达:Certainly not.; Of course not.;No,not at all.;Not at all.“好,可以”

2)如果不同意表示介意时,常用“Sorry.”“I’m sorry, but…”及陈述某种理由来表示拒绝或反对。;这一句型中的逻辑主语只能是谈话的对方you,如果想要对方允许自己做某事,可以用 “Would you mind my doing..?句型。

英语新课程标准指出:“英语课程要面向全体学生,使每个学生都得到充分的发展”,这是新课程标准的基本理念,也是素质教育的出发点。但由于各种原因,进入八年级后,越来越多的学生开始对英语学习不感兴趣,学习态度不端正,成绩越来越差;而另一部分学生则学习兴趣浓厚,学习轻松且成绩优异,两极分化不断加大。如何处理解决好这一问题,是学生以后能否继续学好英语的关键。

一、原因分析

造成这一现象的原因是多方面的,但总的来说主要有以下几点:

1.七年级的基础未打好

现在的学生虽然在小学时就开设了英语课,可是一开始就没过好字母关,更不用说音标关了。有些学生到现在连26个字母都还不能熟练地会读会写,更谈不上根据音标拼读单词了。到了八年级,既无信心,也无兴趣,根本就没办法学习。这部分学生往往学习无自觉性,要转变这部分后进生需要下很大的工夫。

2.教材难度加大,内容增多

新标准下的八年级上册的教材是初中现行教材中内容最多(这可从词汇量,教学模块中看出)、语法最难的一册。面对骤然增多的词汇,再加上部分学生的意志力薄弱,许多七年级时的中等生甚至中上的学生都感到记单词力不从心。由于单词未掌握扎实,听课的质量、作业的效果就受到严重影响。同时,七年级时,这些学生几乎每段对话、每篇课文都能背诵,到了八年级,能把课文、对话都背会的是少之又少。没有了背诵,当然就缺少了必要的语言输入,其他语言技能的培养和发展都受到了影响。再加上,时态的增多,各种时态间的用法相互混淆。就这样,许多原来的中等生也慢慢地退步了,进入了英语学困生的行列。

3.教师的教学方法单一陈旧,上课进度过快

在高喊素质教育的今天,由于受到中考指挥棒的影响和学校根据成绩给教师排名等各种外界因素给教师造成的压力。许多教师课堂上忙于讲语言点、做练习,却舍不得花点时间搞些学生感兴趣的活动,更不愿尝试多样化的新的教学方法,致使学生上课越来越觉得无趣而不喜欢学英语。

4.学生没有良好的学习习惯和学习策略

有些学生不是学习不够努力,也不是对学习缺乏热情,而是学习方法不正确。如不能根据拼写规则记单词,而是在死记硬背字母的顺序,以至记单词的速度缓慢;单词的记忆也不会根据遗忘规律,及时做好复习;对待错题更不会去分析错因、深刻体会、反复理解等等。所以,这些学生学得很苦、很累,成绩却上不去,最终还是掉队了。

二、对策

基于以上分析,为了防止和杜绝两极分化现象的形成和进一步扩大,笔者认为应该根据两极分化的成因,对症下药:

1.建立学习互助小组

把七年级结束时班里英语成绩最差的10个学生与最好10位学生“接对子”,让他们自由组合“拜师学艺”。一旦建立“师徒”关系,“徒弟”就必须听从师傅的话,完成师傅布置的任务,而“师傅”则必须对“徒弟”负责,对他的学习严格要求,督促他完成各种学习任务,如监督记单词、默单词、背课文等。“师傅”还可给“徒弟”布置适当的任务。如当天单词听写较差时,可要求他重听写。同时,“师傅”还要给予“徒弟”学习方法上的指导,每课的生词必须在第二天早读前“包会读”。

备好课是上好课的前提。在当今知识日新月异的时代,教师要想教好课,就需要不断地为自己“充电”。然而,教师不但要传授知识,而且还担负着发展学生智力、培养学生能力的重任。因此,要提高课堂教学的质量,我们还必须注重学习教育理论,探索教学艺术。在教学过程中,教师要充分了解学生,掌握个性差异,要根据每个学生的基础和认知能力的实际,确定不同的学习目标。在备课时,要设计难易不同的问题,力求让每个学生都能成为课堂的主人,都能享受到成功的喜悦,这对提高教学质量大有益处。同时还应及时关注学生的知识掌握情况,随时调整教学进度,对学生存在的问题要及时给予帮助,千万不可因赶进度而对学生学的情况置之不理,致使部分学生因不能及时掌握而成绩越来越差。

3.采用多样化的教学手段,激发学生的学习兴趣

“兴趣是最好的老师”。英语具有很强的交际功能,要求学生反复地模仿,如果学生失去了学习兴趣,就会感到枯燥,学习就不主动。为了解决这一问题,笔者认为可以开展丰富多彩的活动,给学生更多实践英语的机会,如课前学唱英文歌曲、课中开展英语辩论会、讲英文故事比赛,课后还可组织学生看英文版的电影等,同时还要利用中学生竞争意识强的特点,多搞一些竞赛,如单词竞赛、猜测游戏或配音、演课本剧等来活跃课堂气氛,激发学生兴趣。让学生在活动中、在娱乐中学英语,既增加了学生实践英语的机会,提高了听说读写各方面的能力,又使学生在不知不觉中喜欢上英语,这样教学就能收到事半功倍的效果。

4.注重教学中学习策略的指导

学习策略指学生为了有效地学习和发展而采取的各种行动和步骤。英语学习的策略包括认知策略、调控策略、交际策略和资源策略等。教师应在教学中帮助学生形成适合自己的学习策略。学习策略是灵活多样的,策略的使用因人、因时、因事而异。在英语教学中,教师要有意识地帮助学生形成适合自己的学习策略,并具有不断调整自己学习策略的能力,如课前预习的策略,课后复习巩固的策略,有效记忆单词的策略,根据遗忘规律及时复习巩固单词的策略等。在英语课程实施中,帮助学生有效地使用学习策略,不仅有利于他们把握学习的方向、采用科学的途径、提高学习效率,而且还有助于他们形成自主学习的能力,为终身学习奠定基础。由此可见,教师对学生“授之以鱼”不如“授之以渔”,教师不再是过去的教书匠,不能再“穿新鞋,走老路”,应及时转变教育思想,更新教育理念。只有这样,才能适应新时代的需要。

5.在情感上去亲近学生

古人云:“亲其师,信其道”。对于英语学困生,教师更应该想方设法多与他们聊聊天,从他们感兴趣的话题入手,创设和谐的朋友式的师生关系,让他们喜欢你,进而“爱屋及乌”也喜欢学你教的英语。另外,在课上或课外多多鼓励他们,也在学习上给予一定的帮助,让他们觉得教师是真心为他们好,而且他们是受到教师的特别关心的,这样他们会对英语学习越来越有劲。

总之,在初中英语教学实践中,只要采用科学的教学方法,遵循教育规律,注意做到循序渐进和因材施教,同时,教师要坚持面向全体学生,充分调动学生学习的主动性和创造性,注意授人以渔,培养其一定的自学能力,增强他们学习的成功;融洽师生关系,注重情商的培养,就一定能扭转英语教学中慢、少、差的现状,走出两极分化的教学困境,大面积提高教学质量,真正实现从应试教育向素质教育的转变。 参考文献

英语新课程标准指出:“英语课程要面向全体学生,使每个学生都得到充分的发展”,这是新课程标准的基本理念,也是素质教育的出发点。但由于各种原因,进入八年级后,越来越多的学生开始对英语学习不感兴趣,学习态度不端正,成绩越来越差;而另一部分学生则学习兴趣浓厚,学习轻松且成绩优异,两极分化不断加大。如何处理解决好这一问题,是学生以后能否继续学好英语的关键。

一、原因分析

造成这一现象的原因是多方面的,但总的来说主要有以下几点:

1.七年级的基础未打好

现在的学生虽然在小学时就开设了英语课,可是一开始就没过好字母关,更不用说音标关了。有些学生到现在连26个字母都还不能熟练地会读会写,更谈不上根据音标拼读单词了。到了八年级,既无信心,也无兴趣,根本就没办法学习。这部分学生往往学习无自觉性,要转变这部分后进生需要下很大的工夫。

2.教材难度加大,内容增多

新标准下的八年级上册的教材是初中现行教材中内容最多(这可从词汇量,教学模块中看出)、语法最难的一册。面对骤然增多的词汇,再加上部分学生的意志力薄弱,许多七年级时的中等生甚至中上的学生都感到记单词力不从心。由于单词未掌握扎实,听课的质量、作业的效果就受到严重影响。同时,七年级时,这些学生几乎每段对话、每篇课文都能背诵,到了八年级,能把课文、对话都背会的是少之又少。没有了背诵,当然就缺少了必要的语言输入,其他语言技能的培养和发展都受到了影响。再加上,时态的增多,各种时态间的用法相互混淆。就这样,许多原来的中等生也慢慢地退步了,进入了英语学困生的行列。

3.教师的教学方法单一陈旧,上课进度过快

在高喊素质教育的今天,由于受到中考指挥棒的影响和学校根据成绩给教师排名等各种外界因素给教师造成的压力。许多教师课堂上忙于讲语言点、做练习,却舍不得花点时间搞些学生感兴趣的活动,更不愿尝试多样化的新的教学方法,致使学生上课越来越觉得无趣而不喜欢学英语。

4.学生没有良好的学习习惯和学习策略

有些学生不是学习不够努力,也不是对学习缺乏热情,而是学习方法不正确。如不能根据拼写规则记单词,而是在死记硬背字母的顺序,以至记单词的速度缓慢;单词的记忆也不会根据遗忘规律,及时做好复习;对待错题更不会去分析错因、深刻体会、反复理解等等。所以,这些学生学得很苦、很累,成绩却上不去,最终还是掉队了。

二、对策

基于以上分析,为了防止和杜绝两极分化现象的形成和进一步扩大,笔者认为应该根据两极分化的成因,对症下药:

1.建立学习互助小组

把七年级结束时班里英语成绩最差的10个学生与最好10位学生“接对子”,让他们自由组合“拜师学艺”。一旦建立“师徒”关系,“徒弟”就必须听从师傅的话,完成师傅布置的任务,而“师傅”则必须对“徒弟”负责,对他的学习严格要求,督促他完成各种学习任务,如监督记单词、默单词、背课文等。“师傅”还可给“徒弟”布置适当的任务。如当天单词听写较差时,可要求他重听写。同时,“师傅”还要给予“徒弟”学习方法上的指导,每课的生词必须在第二天早读前“包会读”。
